su LinuxToday è stata annunciata l’uscita della RC1 di Gnome 2.8:

Release Candidate 1 marks the start of our Hard Code Freeze, on the way towards the final GNOME 2.8 release in a couple of weeks. The final lap! Let’s just hope we’re not dragged off the track at the last minute by a strangely dressed Irishman. Even though it almost sounds like fun… At last, without further ado, RELEASE CANDIDATE ONE!
