se dovete produrre della documentazione sui vostri server provate SYDI, è veramente comodo!
SYDI is a collection of Vbscripts to help people get started with the documentation process. What it can do is to collect information from a Windows Server (SYDI-Server) or a MS SQL Server (SYDI-SQL) and present its findings in a MS Word document. This way the process isn’t so boring since a lot of information is gathered for you, another way it helps you is that you are given a general document which gives you an idea of what could be included in your server documentation. If you feel like you don’t need everything the scripts collect there are parameters which decide what goes into the word document. So if you like the output but don’t need a particular section, like printers or services you can easily remove them. SYDI has been tested with Windows 2000 and higher, Word 2000 and higher, SQL 7.0 and higher.

lunedì sfigato…
pare che si sia bruciato l’hd del mio portatile, per fortuna per l’archivio delle email c’è zoe, ma la rottura di scatole derivata dal dover comprarne uno nuovo, reinstallare tutto, recustomizzare tutto da capo e che l’ultimo backup “serio” era stato fatto a novembre è grossa, davvero grossa.
Mi sono però meravigliato della mia reazione quando ho scoperto il fatto:
- ho preso knoppix l’ho ficcata nel cd,
- ho provato ad accedere alle varie partizioni [non ci sono riuscito, sic!],
- ho fatto mente locale dei lavori e dei documenti attualmente presenti sul portatile,
- ho controllato la data dell’ultimo backup fatto,
- ho spento il portatile
- ed ho controllato il prezzo di un nuovo hd [un pò più capiente del precedente]
Il tutto con una calma ed una tranquillità quasi serafica, ed a me ignota. Onestamente qualche annetto fa avrei urlato, bestemmiato e lanciato il portatile verso un muro… che sia deformazione professionale? o semplicemente scazzo!?

cercando di mettere a posto una fotocopiatrice (non è il mio lavoro, però faccio fatica a non ascoltare un nugolo di rompi.. donzelle che chiedono, ripetutamente ed instancabilmente, il mio aiuto..) mi sono venute delle vesciche alle dita (e mi fanno male soprattutto quando uso lo scroller del mouse), ma non demordo.. oggi nulla può innervosirmi…

The directive in its current form would pave the way for software patents. The EU parliament, which would have to deal with the directive next, would have considerable problems to prevent this.
Help us to draw your minister’s attention to what they have to account for on Monday. Sign the open letter and place it on the home page of your web-site. If that appears too drastic for you, just link to the letter with a banner. When your minister uses the web, she or he should not miss what is of importance to many people. Also, complaining directly, e.g. by sending a fax, can be very helpful.
